YDIS (DIAGNOSTIC TOOL)
Only exclusive Authorized Yamaha Dealers have access to Yamaha’s Diagnostic System (YDIS),
allowing for an accurate and comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of the engine. It is the
main tool before proceeding with any repair or maintenance!

YDIS TECHNICAL GUIDE & HELP FUNCTION
Within YDIS there are 2 very valuable information databases.

The technical guide:
This guide explains the inspection points in an easy-to-understand manner, focusing on F1 Technical guide
4-stroke outboard motors, in order to re-emphasize the importance of inspection/ servicing,
and allow customers to use their outboard motors for a long time. It also explains inspection
and diagnostic points, including physical phenomena. It examines what problems will occur
if these inspections are neglected, and has been created in order to provide a deeper
understanding of why inspections are necessary. Personnel at dealerships should read this

manual carefully for knowledge on maintenance methods for use with 4-stroke outboard F11 Technical guide
Help
motors, and use it as basic knowledge in order to inform customers of the need for periodic
inspections, instruction in carrying out these inspections, and for providing advice on the state
and maintenance of these engines based on the results of these inspections.
